THE KUMITE

Is a new fighting tournament started by the professional fighter and martial artist Stanley Hofstædter. The tournament is a open tournament for all styles of fighting. From 8 to 16 fighters will compete to find out who is the best of the best, what fighting style is the most efficient and who is the best Kumite fighter in the world. WBKF will only sanction legal fights approved by AIBA, WBKF, WADA and WORLD MARTIAL ART ORGANISATION.

So in order to get THE KUMITE legal on the same level as BKB we also needed approved competition rules. So WBKF approached THE WORLD KICKBOXING ASSOCIATION and THE WORLD TAE KWON DO ASSOCIATION to get their already approved Competition rules for Kicking, and incorporated them with AIBA/WBKF competition rules to get a total rule set, legalized for THE KUMITE tournament.

THE KUMITE rules set is also approved after WADA regulations.
